For example, assume you want to compare ASA 400 with ASA 1000 film to roughly determine
which film stock yields the best results given your camera, exposure settings, and amount of ambient light at the location you've chosen to photograph your favorite constellation. You could take several exposures at various shutter speeds, then repeat those settings with the different film stock. This information provides you with important building blocks to use as general rules of thumb. AstroPic will easily allow you to collect and compare this information. The program makes notes and generalizes these findings into checklists. Use AstroPic to organize your negatives as well!
